AB - <p>The purposes of this research were 1) To study institutional commitment of students in Dhurakij Pundit University. 2) To investigate factors affecting students’ institutional commitment, and 3) To create equations predicting students’ institutional commitment. The sample used in the study included 307 bachelor students who graduated during academic year 2009-2011 selected by stratified random sampling. The instrument used to collect data was a five-point rating scale questionnaire of 8 sub-scale with a total of 120 items. The reliability of the sub-scales range from. 794-.941. The statistical methods used to analyze the data included percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson product -moment correlation , and step-wise multiple regression.</p><p>The results were as follows :</p><p>1) Dhurakij Pundit students’ institutional commitment were at high level.</p><p>2) Factors affecting Dhurakij Pundit students’ institutional commitment were: personality (x3), teacher-student relationship (X4), relationship among friends (X5), learning atmosphere (x6), facility (x7), academic activity (x8), and off-classroom activity (x9). These factors had statistical significant relationship with students’ institutional commitment at .01 level. 3) Factors included in the equations predicting students’ institutional commitment were: personality (x3) learning atmosphere (x6), off-classroom activity (x9) academic activity (x8), facility (x7), and teacher-student relationship (x4) respectively. These factors could explain the variance of Dhurakij Pundit students’ institutional commitment up to 66.10 percent. From overall results, the equation predicting students’ institutional commitment could be expressed as follows :</p><p>Y = .410 + .260(X3) + .176(X6) +.163(X9) +.161(X8) +.106(X7) + .089(X4)</p><p>Z = .239(X3) + .211(X9) + .188(X8) +.183(X6) +.130(X7) + .090(X4)</p>
