The methodology of qualitative research was studied some relevant documents and in-depth interviews by selecting key informants whose qualifications were in accordance with proposed criteria that were to be specialized in and to have relative experiences about air medical transportation in an executive level. Research instrument was semi-structured interview protocol and data were analyzed by method of content analysis. The results showed that standards and models of organizations that provide air medical transportation in Thailand were 2 models. They were airlines providing the air medical transport service and hospitals that offer the air medical transport service. The standards of air medical transportation applied in the service were in line with the international standards which were The Commission on Accreditation of Medical transport systems and European Aeromedical Institute. Guidelines for a sustainable business approach of air medical transportation in Thailand consist of (1) collaboration between the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand and the National Institute for Emergency Medicine, and (2) the development of business components including customers, aviation, and the medical aspect.&nbsp;</p> ER -
