https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/279332

In the era of digital transformation, various organizations are facing challenges in struggling to keep pace with these changes, including the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic affecting all sectors. Organizations must confront the New Normal approach and adapt to digital technology and various technologies. Many academics believe that digital transformation capability is a crucial key that will help organizations navigate through changes rapidly. Educational institution hotels are established to serve as practical training for students in hotel management, or related fields, providing them with the expertise to run hotel businesses. This serves as venues for Cooperative and Work-Integrated Education (CWIE). Furthermore, these hotels operate as business entities, generating substantial revenue for their affiliated educational institutions. Therefore, organizations must adapt and elevate their capabilities to remain competitive in the business landscape during the digital transformation era.

This article is a comprehensive review and synthesis of the literature on the concept of digital transformation, the application of digital technology in the hotel industry, and the management of educational institution hotels. The objective is to identify the components of digital transformation that impact educational institution hotels, enabling administrators to make informed decisions and prepare their organizations for an effective and successful digital transformation. The author proposes a conceptual framework identifying six key components of digital transformation: 1) Customer Experience, 2) Operational processes, 3) Data Management & Analytics, 4) Digital Technology & Infrastructure, 5) Digital People & Culture, and 6) Student Digital Engagement in Organizational Transformation.
Phongphoom SornchomkeawChaowalit ChaowsangratSunanta Satieramas

https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/281504

Thailand’s status regarding the jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) is a significant issue under the principle of “state consent,” which serves as a fundamental concept in international law that emphasizes state sovereignty and equality. This study employs a legal research methodology, analyzing provisions in the ICJ Statute, key judgments, and Thailand’s conduct in granting or withholding jurisdiction—particularly its withdrawal of the declaration under Article 36(2), reservations to international treaties, and its preference for bilateral mechanisms in dispute resolution.

The Preah Vihear Case is treated as an exception to the general rule, based on ad hoc consent rather than acceptance of the Court’s general jurisdiction. At the same time, the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC), established under the 2000 Memorandum of Understanding between Thailand and Cambodia, is regarded as a form of “lex specialis,” which takes precedence over general international legal mechanisms, such as unilateral submission to the ICJ.

The author recommends that Thailand establish a systematic database of treaty reservations and international obligations to guide the long-term development of its international legal strategy. Moreover, enhancing the capacity of legal and diplomatic personnel is essential for managing international disputes effectively while upholding the principle of state sovereignty.
Nabhasrabi Tejangkura

https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/276924

The objectives of this research were to : 1) conduct a comparative analysis of foot binding culture among women in ancient China and neck ring wearing among Karen ethnic groups in Thailand; 2) analyze the consequential impacts of foot binding culture in ancient China and neck ring wearing among Karen ethnic groups in Thailand. This qualitative research employs documentary research methodology within relevant theoretical frameworks.
The collected data were analyzed to identify connections and interpreted in conjunction with related concepts and theories within the established conceptual framework. Research findings were presented through comparative tables and descriptive analysis according to the research objectives.

The comparative study of ancient Chinese foot binding and neck ring wearing among long-necked Karen reveals the complex relationship between beauty and social status.
Both cultures utilized physical body modification as cultural symbols and forms of cultural capital that could be converted into social status and economic opportunities. These practices reflect patriarchal systems that determined female beauty standards. Despite different outcomes—foot binding being abolished while neck ring wearing persists, having been adapted for cultural tourism—the concept of body modification for beauty continues to exist in modern forms such as cosmetic surgery. This research indicates that culture is dynamic, and its preservation should be based on respect for individual rights.
Suratwadee Munintharaphong Saithan PhetkhiewChonlatee Samerchure

https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/280781

The Nam Thip Buddha Footprint, located in Tambon Sang Kho, Phu Phan District, Sakon Nakhon Province, is the sole Buddha footprint in Thailand featuring a total of seven imprints. This is regarded as a spiritual foundation for the populace. The Nam Thip Buddha Footprint, including seven imprints, warrants further recognition and promotion. Consequently, the researcher undertook innovative research with the aims of: 1) examining the historical context of the Nam Thip Buddha Footprint at Wat Phra Phutthabat Nam Thip, Tambon Sang Kho, Phu Phan District, Sakon Nakhon Province, and 2) developing a dance performance entitled "Nataya Bucha Roi Phra Phutthabat Nam Thip Dance." This study utilized a qualitative research methodology, gathering data via documents, critiques, and data analysis. It was discovered that in relation to the history of the Phra Phutthabat Namthip (Footprint of the Buddha with Holy Water), Phra Ajarn Boonmee Khemthammo experienced a vision of the Buddha's footprint, prompting him to undertake a journey to locate it. He uncovered seven footprints in Phu Phan District, Sakon Nakhon Province. The tracks indicated a forward ambulation, alternating between the left and right foot. Several footprints suggested heel walking, while the seventh footprint displayed a complete foot impression originating from a cave entrance, accompanied by water coursing along the footprint. Villagers consumed the water from all seven imprints to remedy ailments, resulting in the notable disappearance of numerous maladies. Consequently, it was designated as Phra Phutthabat Namthip. Phra Ajarn subsequently erected a mondop (pavilion) to enclose it. The dance performance "Rabam Natayabucha Roi Phra Phutthabat Namthip" derives its name from the imprint of the Buddha, Roi Phra Phutthabat Namthip. It incorporates contemporary musical melodies blended with Phuthai Sakon Nakhon music. The performance consists of two segments: the first segment narrates the homage paid to Roi Phra Phutthabat Namthip, while the second segment depicts a dance dedicated to worshiping Roi Phra Phutthabat Namthip, encouraging Thai individuals to pay their respects to Roi Phra Phutthabat Namthip. The choreography integrates Phuthai dance motions with contemporary dance techniques. The formation alterations are organized in diverse configurations based on the principles of dance composition, comprising a total of 37 dance moves and 17 rows. The garments are customary village dress donned by individuals attending the worship of Roi Phra Phutthabat Namthip during significant Buddhist festivals. The individuals described are genuine Phuthai people adorned in white long-sleeved blouses, indigo sarongs, white sashes, and silver jewelry including earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and belts. Their heads are embellished with silk bobbins and purple Inthanin blossoms. The cosmetics accentuate attractiveness. The hair is centrally parted, secured at the crown, and fashioned into a bun. All eight performers are female. This performance is suitable for a variety of events.
Prajhak Maicharoen

This quantitative study aimed (1) to investigate the impact of accounting information system quality on the utilization efficiency of accounting information systems within the Royal Thai Air Force , and (2) to examine the influence of accounting information system competency on the utilization efficiency of accounting information systems within the RTAF. Data were collected through questionnaires from 304 finance and accounting officers of the RTAF, determined using Yamane (1967) sample size calculation formula at a 0.05 margin of error. Hypotheses were tested using multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that high-quality and competent accounting information systems, characterized by continuous development, significantly enhance the reliability of processed data for utilization, thereby improving the efficiency of accounting information system usage among finance and accounting officers. This holds true with statistical significance at the 0.05 and 0.01 levels. However, an exception was noted regarding the auditability aspect of accounting information system quality and competency. The finance and accounting officers of the RTAF perceive data auditability as a fundamental requirement (Hygiene Factor), the presence of which does not necessarily increase satisfaction but its absence could lead to dissatisfaction.
Piyawan MeesabTitoporn Sincharoonsak

https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/282220

This study aimed to translate and validate the Flourishing Scale (FS) for Thai parents of neurodivergent children. Originally developed to measure social-psychological prosperity across domains such as purpose, engagement, competence, and positive relationships, the FS had not been previously validated for this population in Thailand. Cross-cultural validation enhances the utility of flourishing as a construct in Southeast Asian health research. The translation followed the World Health Organization’s forward–backward method and was reviewed a panel of three bilingual experts. The Thai version was first administered to a sample of 200 parents, and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) supported a unidimensional structure. Internal consistency was excellent (α = .92). Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) conducted on a separate sample of 659 participants confirmed the model with strong standardized loadings (.736–.880) and good fit indices (CFI = .989, TLI = .981, RMSEA = .062). Convergent validity was further supported by moderate positive correlations with validated Thai versions of the CD-RISC-10 (resilience) and GQ-6 (gratitude). These findings indicate that the Thai version of the Flourishing Scale is a psychometrically robust tool and culturally relevant tool that can be applied not only in research, program evaluation, and clinical practice for caregiving populations but also in broader Thai contexts, policy development, and cross-cultural studies on well-being.
Anjna SachdevSanthosh Ayathupady Mohanan

https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/282619

This study employed a mixed method to gather the required data to examine the impact of an Inductive Teaching Strategy with GeoGebra on the grade five Bhutanese students’ learning achievement and engagement in mathematics. The sample of the study consisted of 30 grade five students from one of the semi-urban school of Bhutan. The study employed achievement tests (pre-test and post-test) and semi-structured interview as instruments for collecting data and classroom observation as additional evidence to strengthen the results from the achievement test and semi-structured interview. The instruments were validated by three experts and tested for reliability using Kuder Richardson-20 (KR-20) formula having a value of 0.78. The quantitative data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test using statistical software. The result revealed a higher mean score in the post-test (12.78) than that of the pre-test (7.03) with the mean difference of (5.75). The significant (p) value 0.01 indicated that the use of Inductive Teaching Strategy with GeoGebra was effective in teaching and learning mathematics. Qualitative data were analyzed using the thematic analysis technique. The result revealed that integrating the Inductive Teaching Strategy with GeoGebra remarkably enhanced students’ engagement in mathematics. The findings showed that the use of Inductive Teaching Strategy with GeoGebra has a potential to foster improved understanding and enhance students’ engagement in teaching mathematics in grade five Bhutanese students.
Ugyen LhendupNipaporn Sakulwongs

https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/283692

The objective of this research was to develop the ability to design astronomy teaching activities using the STEM Plus Astro activities for pre-service teachers. The participants in this study were 30 undergraduate pre-service teachers. The research was conducted in the first semester of the academic year 2023. The research instruments included five STEM Plus Astro activity plans for pre-service teachers, totaling 15 hours, and an evaluation form for assessing the ability to design astronomy teaching activities. The statistics used in the research were mean and standard deviation.

The research results revealed that after completing the training activities, 12 pre-service teachers (40%) demonstrated an “excellent” level of competence in designing of Astronomy teaching activities. This reflects a deep understanding of STEM concepts and the ability to design high-quality, complete learning activities in accordance with the specified components. Another 18 pre-service teachers (60%) were at a “good” level, indicating a solid foundational skill set in activity design that can be further developed toward greater expertise. The findings clearly show that training using the STEM Plus Astro activities is effective and can significantly enhance the ability of pre-service teachers to design astronomy teaching activities. Furthermore, these activities can be appropriately applied to real educational settings.
Apichart PayakkhinPongsathorn KlomsakulAnchalee NilsuwanVachiraporn Vachiraporn Funan
