Therefore, it is essential to find ways to address the challenges that arise to enable organisations to achieve their goals. The purpose of this article is to study the challenges of managing contemporary public sector human resources and to propose recommendations for addressing potential challenges. This article reveals that there are four key principles in public sector human resource management: the principle of competency, the principle of equity, the principle of employment stability, and the principle of political impartiality. The challenges in such areas include technological advancements, generations, culture and organisational environment, demographic changes, high-potential employee motivation, and long-term employee retention. The recommendations for addressing these challenges are to enhance the technological proficiency of employees to keep pace with technological advancements, to understand the fundamental characteristics of each generation of employees, to continually improve the organisational culture, to define the work capabilities of employees, and to create opportunities for employees at all levels to demonstrate their potential. Additionally, modernising the image of the public sector organisation is crucial.</span></p> Jetnipat Chanapai, Ticha Bunreeangrong, Hasan Akrim Dongnadeng Copyright (c) 2024 Phranakhon Rajabhat Research Journal : Humanities and Social Sciences http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0 https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/268731 Sun, 30 Jun 2024 00:00:00 +0700 ENHANCING SOFT SKILL FOR UNDERGRADUATE COMMUNICATION ARTS STUDENTS OF PHRANAKHON RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/268980 <p>The world today is changing very quickly with technology; crises and new challenges arise all the time.
