https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/272928

Sticky cost behavior arises from asymmetric decisions by management in estimating expenses or costs. It causes cost increases and decreases to be unequal, while activity volumes increase and decrease to be equal. From the study, it can be concluded that the factors that influence sticky cost behavior are: 1) Employee intensity is related to sticky cost behavior. 2) Debt intensity is negatively related to sticky cost behavior. 3) Corporate governance can help reduce sticky cost behavior. 4) Firms with fewer resources show signs of adjustment in their cost behavior. 5) Developing countries are able to adjust costs well when incomes are falling. 6) The level of sticky costs increases as GDP increases. Results from the study of factors that influence the sticky cost behavior, investors can consider and screen companies in which to invest in order to reduce risks and financial losses. Executives can use the results of the study to consider adaptation and problem-solving. The results obtained are useful for accounting instructors in teaching their students.
Pornthip Manodamrongsat

https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/269990

This article is part of the King's Philosophy Project of the Communication Arts Department, Phranakhon Rajabhat University 2023 and integration of research, teaching, academic services and arts and culture services. The objective is to convey stories about dessert food in traditional merit-making ceremonies of Thai Phuan ethnic group, Nakhon Nayok Province that now continuing. It is a type of soft power that can be easily published to cultural tourists. By mainly merit-making events in Heet Sib Song (merit-making events in every each month in year), there will be special food and desserts prepared for each merit making event that requires the cooperation of people in community such as Khao Lam (sticky rice and coconut milk cooked in bamboo tube) in Bun Khao Lam Duean Ai (merit making event in first month), Khao Jee Phuan (fried pancake from sticky rice flour with coconut and sesame filling) in Bun Khao Jee Duean Sam (merit making event in the third month), Krayasart (stied dessert from mixing grains and sugar) in Bun Khao Sa Duean Kao (merit making event in the ninth month) and Khao Mao (dessert from steam young rice grain and grated coconut) in Bun Khao Mao Duan Sib Song (merit making event in the twelfth month) Including Khanom Khao Krayaku (stir dessert from young rice milk and sugar), Khanom Kab Moo (stir dessert from rice flour and pork fat). The Thai Phuan desserts are considered special foods that are prepared for only the traditional merit-making ceremonies. Therefore, "desserts" can be considered as a distinct food identity of Thai Phuan ethnic group. It is related to their way of life, traditions and beliefs. The identity of desserts in traditional merit-making events can be further developed into a creative economy, to promote ethnic tourism and is classified as an outstanding soft power.
Nathanan Wiriyawit, Nisit Attacharoenwong

https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/272246

The main purpose of this research is to conduct studies on the rights of absolute prisoners to be released for the purpose of rehabilitation, and to find appropriate legal measures in Thailand relating the provisional release of absolute prisoners for the purpose of rehabilitation. The qualitative research will be conducted based on documentary research and comparative studies with New York State in the United States, as well as Kingdom of New Zealand.

According to the study, it was found that allowing absolute prisoners to leave the prison temporarily for the purpose of rehabilitation is indeed one of the rights entitled by the absolute prisoners. This is in order to foster relationships between the absolute prisoners and people in the society and their families, so that they can later adjust themselves to the society. As a consequence, after the sentenced have been served and they have been released, absolute prisoners will not repeat their crimes. Specifically, there are also other related rights to work in business entities, both in the public and private sectors, including their family businesses or freelance work, and rights to leave in order to deal with important or family matters, to join certain social activities e.g. visiting a wife who has just given a child’s birth, visiting seriously ill relatives, participating significant religious ceremonies, joining volunteers’ activities etc.

It is proposed, from the research, that the state should enact measures or policies supporting absolute prisoners to leave prisons for the purpose of rehabilitation, especially in the communities where those absolute prisoners will reside after leaving the prisons, as well as that the Corrections Act B.E. 2560 (2017) be amended.
Napasorn Varitpanich, Pornphet Cholsaktraku

https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/271531

The concept of voice in second language (L2) writing is increasingly recognized as a key aspect of language proficiency, though it remains somewhat elusive and controversial. This study aimed to deepen the understanding of voice in L2 writing among 21 Thai university students. We analyzed their responses to questionnaires, including open-ended questions, using basic statistics and content analysis. The data collection took place in January, 2024. Our results revealed that a significant majority of students found writing in English challenging, and their L2 voice differed from their L1 voice. Additionally, their self-reports indicated distinctions between their written and spoken English. Students expressed a loss of confidence and a sense of disconnection from their true selves when tasked with writing in English. Our findings contribute to the literature on L2 voice in writing, confirming that L2 voice in writing is a multifaceted and contextualized construct. We provide practical recommendations for Thai teachers to assist students in developing their L2 voice. Finally, further research is needed to conceptualize Thai students' voice in English writing.
Janpha Thadphoothon, Asst. Prof. Dr.

While previous research has emphasized the importance of diversity and inclusivity, there is limited data specific to the airline sector. This research fills that gap by analyzing data from 100 employees using descriptive and inferential statistics. The findings indicate that the company's commitment to diversity and anti-discrimination policies significantly boosts job satisfaction and performance, leading to increased productivity, fewer distractions, and higher motivation for skill development and career advancement. Recommendations include prioritizing diversity through targeted recruitment, comprehensive training, and regular policy reviews, as well as fostering open communication and team bonding to mitigate job insecurity and enhance camaraderie.
Juan Rodrigo Del Villar, Amonthep Chockdee, Namthip Duangchankham, Phiyanan Tanthuean

https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/275040

Background: Emotional regulation issues are critical factors in mental health, often leading to heightened negative emotions and psychiatric symptoms. This study investigates the effectiveness of an emotional regulation intervention in improving emotional regulation strategies, specifically cognitive reappraisal, and expressive suppression, among professional workers in Bangkok, Thailand.

Method: A randomized pretest-posttest control group design was used. Eighty-two professional workers (N= 80) were randomly assigned to either an intervention group or a control group. The intervention consisted of five weekly group sessions focusing on emotional regulation skills, utilizing a combination of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression were measured using the Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (Gross & John, 2003).

Results: The intervention group showed significant improvements in emotional regulation, with increased use of cognitive reappraisal and decreased reliance on expressive suppression compared to the control group. These findings suggest that the emotional regulation intervention effectively enhanced participants' ability to manage their emotional responses in the workplace.

Conclusion: Emotional regulation training significantly improves emotional regulation strategies among professional workers, highlighting the potential benefits of incorporating such interventions into workplace wellness programs. This can lead to better emotional well-being and more effective management of workplace stressors.
Tanprang Taesillapasathit, Rajitha Menon Arikkatt

https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/PNRU_JHSS/article/view/274608

Leveraging advanced digital technologies to enhance management efficiency and optimize resource allocation is an effective means to promote all the human resource management activities in universities. This study aims to propose an optimal HRM decision support system model tailored to the needs of human resource management in Sichuan universities. To achieve this goal, a questionnaire survey was conducted with 21 experts based on literature review to analyze the existing issues in HRM in Sichuan universities. Subsequently, the Delphi method was used to establish a graphical model based on the feedback from these experts. Finally, referring to the CIPP evaluation principles, nine experts evaluated the model constructed in this study. The research results indicate that HRM in Sichuan universities faces issues primarily in aspects such as institutions and policy data management standards, big data, and artificial intelligence technology application. This study has proposed a model encompassing six core aspects of HRM: personnel information, personnel recruitment, development, performance evaluation, internal promotion, and compensation and benefits. The model enhances the integrity of data storage, records accuracy, and sharing smoothness; strengthens recruitment strategies formulation, candidate screening, and intelligent recruitment process; the identification of training needs improvements, development of personalized training plans, and resource allocation; optimizes intelligent performance evaluation, in-depth analysis, and sound feedback mechanism; establishes unified employment criteria, clear promotion channels, and intelligent job matching; and strengthens intelligent analysis, formulation of personalized incentive measures, and strategic analysis.
Xin Deng, Sombat Teekasap, Nainapas Injoungjirakit, Prapai Sridama, Wimon Utog, Nisara Paethrangsi
