Abstract

     This is a study of media production for The Department of Mass Communication public relations within 10-15 minutes. The purpose of this study was to create knowledge and understanding in the role of mass media for current and prospective students in The Department of Mass Communication and Faculty of Letters National University of Laos. There were 3 steps for this video production. First, it is a pre-production; seeking for ideas, defining objectives and targeting audiences to write scripts with storyboard, and creating a narrative script. Second, it is a production; using original videos and recording interviews with a Canon DSLR 100D camera with two types of lens which are 18-55mm lens, and 18-200mm telephoto lens-type of shot was used in The Medium Shot and Close Up was used as a shooting technique. Third, it is a post-production; using video editing in Non-Linear editing software, Adobe Premiere Pro CC, and Adobe After Effect CS6. Considering the limitation of working space and equipment, this production took longer to complete than expected.
