DEVELOPMENT OF ACTIVITY PACKAGE TO PROMOTE THAI LANGUAGE COMMUNICATIVE SKILLS USING SCIENCE CONTEXT FOR UPPER SECONDARY STUDENT ONGKHARAK SCHOOL, NAKHON NAYOK

Abstract

The purposes of this research was to develop and study the effects of using activity package to promote Thai language communicative skills using science context for upper secondary students at Ongkharak School, Nakhon Nayok province. The sample was upper secondary students at Ongkharak School who participated in Thai club of the first semester in 2020. The sample was selected by purposive sampling technique. The research tools consisted of an activity package to promote Thai language communicative skills using science context, a checklist for the quality of the activity package, an evaluation form for Thai language communicative skills and a satisfaction survey form for the students. The research results showed that: 1) the activity package to promote Thai language communicative skills using science context was the activity package which applied science context to promote Thai language communicative skills including listening, speaking, reading and writing with the total of four activities, 2) the evaluation result of the activity package to promote Thai language communicative skills using science context was at the highest level in every aspect, 3) all students reached the “pass” level, and  4) the students’ opinions toward the activity package to promote Thai language communicative skills using science context for upper secondary students was at the highest level in every aspect.
