DEVELOPMENT OF OPERATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN THE SCHOOL BOTANICAL GARDEN FOR PIBOONBUMPEN DEMONSATRATION SCHOOL BURAPHA UNIVERSITY

Abstract

            This research aimed to develop the operating activities of school botanical garden for “Piboonbumpen” Demonstration School, Burapha University and to evaluate the developed operating activities. The research consisted of 4 phases of activities, as follows: 1) study information on school botanical garden and apply for membership in the school botanical garden, 2) study visit to the model school in the operation of the school botanical garden, 3) develop activities in the operation of the school botanical garden for "Piboonbumphen" Demonstration School, and 4) evaluate and disseminate the school's botanical operation activities developed. The research tools consisted of 4 expert assessment forms: 1) Assessment form for the development of the school botanical garden operating activities project, 2) Species information assessment form, 3) Species label assessment form and, 4) Learning management plan assessment form.             The development results were that: 1) The school botanical garden project was developed, with the project activities consisting of 5 components, as follows: Component 1: the preparation of plant name tags, Component 2: gathering plants for planting in schools, Component 3: studying different aspects of the data, Component 4: Reporting of learning outcomes, and Component 5: Application in education. 2) Results of expert evaluation on suitability of the botanical garden operating activities: Component 1: making name tags for plants is at satisfactory level. Component 2: the collection of plants to plant in the school is at satisfactory level. Component 3: the study of information in various fields was at a satisfactory level. Component 4: reporting of learning outcomes, and Component 5: application for education is also at the satisfactory level.
