Strategy for Transferring Stucco Art of Mueang Phet Craftsman of Wat Cheeprasert, Mueang District, Phetchaburi Province

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to: 1) create strategy for transferring stucco art of Mueang Phetch craftsman at Wat Cheeprasert by developing a training package to meet the efficiency level of 80/80, 2) try out and evaluate strategy for transferring stucco art of Mueang Phetch craftsman at Wat Cheeprasert using a training package with the youths in Phetchaburi Province, and 3) study the policy proposal for transferring the stucco art at Wat Cheeprasert. The target group consisted of 30 youths in Phetchaburi Province, selected by using a purposive sampling method. The instruments used for data collection were the training package of strategy for transferring the stucco art of Mueang Phetch craftsman at Wat Cheeprasert, a knowledge test paper, a questionnaire for attitude assessment, a form for observing skills on stucco creation, and an interview form concerned with policy proposed from the 11 informants. The data were analyzed by computing percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and t–test while the qualitative data were analyzed with content analysis. The research results revealed that: 1) The efficiency level (E1/E2) of the training package for transferring stucco art of Mueang Phetch craftsman of Wat Cheeprasert was at 81.50/82.00. 2) The youths who were trained with the constructed training package gained knowledge, attitude, and skills higher than before the training significantly at the 0.01 level. 3) The proposal policy for transferring the stucco art of Mueang Phetch craftsman at Wat Cheeprasert was that the training should be put as a school curriculum so that the youths could learn, understand, and do real hands-on practice, whereas learning them for a living career required their inspiration, termination, perseverance, and self-training and development of art professional manifest. Also, there should be exhibitions and displays of Mueang Phetch craftsmanship stucco art in various organizations, both local and national levels continuously.
