Public Services that Affect Quality of Life of People in the Phetchaburi Provincial Administrative Organization Area

Abstract
This mixed-method research aimed to: 1) study the level of quality of life of people in the Phetchaburi Provincial Administrative Organization area 2) study a correlation between personal characteristics and quality of life of the people 3) study the relationship between public services and quality of life of the people and 4) propose guidelines for improving the quality of life of the people in the Phetchaburi Provincial Administrative Organization area. The sample groups consisted of 400 people residing in the Phetchaburi Provincial Administrative Organization area and 12 key informants. Data were analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, chi-square, and multiple regression analysis. Major findings found that: (1) the quality of life of people in the Phetchaburi Provincial Administrative Organization area was at the highest level, (2) there was a correlation between personal characteristics such as age and marital status and people’s quality of life at the significant level of 0.05 level (3) there were relationships between public services and the quality of life of people in the Phetchaburi Provincial Administrative Organization area, in the aspects of transportation and disaster prevention, at the statistic significant level of 0.05 and (4) guidelines for improving the quality of life of the people were revealed that the Phetchaburi Provincial Administrative Organization should organize activities to promote the physical and mental health of the people, assist in the development of living conditions, and giving importance to the preservation of limited natural resources.
