Abstract
The objectives of this research were: 1) to examine the actual conditions and expectations of the people regarding the development of quality of life for all age groups in accordance with the development strategy of Pa Daet Subdistrict Municipality, Pa Daet District, Chiang Rai Province; and 2) to compare the levels of reality and expectations of the people toward such development. This study employed a quantitative research design. The sample consisted of 361 respondents. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and the Pair Samples t-test. The findings revealed that: 1) the overall level of reality regarding the development of quality of life for all age groups was at a moderate level; 2) the overall level of expectations was at the highest level; and 3) the comparison between reality and expectations, both in overall terms and across different age groups, showed statistically significant differences at the .05 level.
