The study drew upon relevant documents, prior research, and fieldwork conducted in Songkhla Province. The findings reveal that Tom or Tupa, traditional confections embedded in the everyday life and cultural practices of both Buddhist and Islamic communities, hold significant folkloric value that reflects the cultural dimensions of the two religions. These roles include the use of folklore to explain the origins and rationale for ritual practices, as well as its function in social education, moral cultivation, and the reinforcement of social norms. In addition, contemporary reinterpretations and creative adaptations of these confections have emerged, serving as innovative means of preserving and transmitting cultural heritage to future generations.
Thachamon Kamlangkuea Copyright (c) 2025 https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/psujssh/article/view/278032 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Development of a Knowledge Database on Local Functional Food for the Elderly in Samutprakarn Province https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/psujssh/article/view/277258
The objectives of this study were 1) to develop a local health food knowledge database system for the elderly and 2) to study the satisfaction of system users with the local health food knowledge database system for the elderly. The sample comprised 389 teaching students selected using multi-stage random sampling. The instruments consisted of 3 questionnaires: the Bem Sex Role Inventory, the Defense Mechanism Rating Scale (DMRS-SR30), and Thai happiness indicators (THI-15), with reliability coefficients ranging from .753 to .861. Statistical analyses were tested by mean, MANOVA, and binary logistic regression. The results revealed that 1) the defensive styles that teaching students mostly used were mature defences.
2) The students with androgynous males received the highest scores for both mature and maladaptive defenses, with significantly different scores from all other gender roles in mature defenses, while having different scores when compared to feminine males, feminine females, undifferentiated males, and undifferentiated females in maladaptive styles. 3) androgynous males had the highest happiness score and had significantly higher scores than undifferentiated females, masculine females, and undifferentiatedmales. 4) Mature styles support an increase in happiness, whereas maladaptive defenses reduce happiness.
5) All independent variables could predict a 23.7% happiness level, with the corrective prediction for high happiness better than low happiness. Overall, the logistic equation had a corrective prediction at a happiness level of 72.8%.
Wilaiwan Srisongkhram Copyright (c) 2025 https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/psujssh/article/view/277803 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 A Meta-Analysis of Factors Associated with Alcohol Consumption Behavior in Thailand https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/psujssh/article/view/278627
The purpose of this meta-analysis was to explore the characteristics of the research, analyze the standard indices, and compare the differences in the standard indices of the factors associated with alcohol consumption behavior in Thailand classified by the variables of the research characteristics. The population consisted of 48 studies on factors related to alcohol drinking behavior in Thailand, conducted during 2013 - 2022, which contained sufficient statistics for conversion into standard index and passed research quality assessment. These studies were selected purposively. The research instruments were research quality scales and coding form, which passed content validity testing by three experts. All the data were calculated using the meta-analysis method of Rosenthal and Hedges, and analyzed using the JAMOVI program, and
MAJOR-Meta-Analysis for JAMOVI module. The results showed that the research characteristics consisted of three aspects including general characteristics, substantives of the research, and methodological characteristics. The standard indices of factors related to alcohol consumption behavior in Thailand, from the highest to the lowest, was the influence factor from the cultural environment with a moderate negative standard indices (r=-.27, p<.001), followed by the influence factor from the social context with a moderate positive standard indices (r=.25, p<.001), and the influence factor from intra-personal with a low negative standard indices (r=-.14, p<.001), respectively. The variables with high positive standard indices were the variable of having a friend drink alcohol (r=.40, p<.001), and the remaining variables had medium and low standard indices. Research characteristics that influenced variations in standard indices included publication year, research institution, participants' occupations, sample size, and hypothesis testing statistics. The results of this research can be used as a guide to determine how to solve problems caused by alcohol consumption.
Isara Tongsamsi Copyright (c) 2025 https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/psujssh/article/view/278627 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 An Analysis of the Application of Social Media for Corporate Communications Among Local Administrative Organizations in Khon Kaen Province https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/psujssh/article/view/278629
This study aims to examine and compare the use of social media for organizational communication among local government organizations in Khon Kaen Province. A qualitative research approach was employed, with data collected from the Facebook pages of eight local government organizations and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. The findings indicate substantial variations in social media use for organizational communication across different levels of local government. Lower-tier local government organizations—particularly certain town municipalities, subdistrict municipalities, and subdistrict administrative organizations—tend to emphasize posts related to public service delivery and rapid responses to local issues. In contrast, upper-tier local government organizations, such as provincial administrative organizations, as well as lower-tier organizations in the category of city municipalities, primarily focus on content promoting quality of life and the management of organizational functions and missions. Furthermore, the results reveal that the outcomes of social media use are not necessarily associated with organizational size. In some cases, lower-tier local government organizations in the town municipality category were able to generate higher levels of public engagement than upper-tier organizations, such as provincial administrative organizations, and lower-tier city municipalities, as reflected in significantly higher numbers of comments and shares. Accordingly, local government organizations should develop social media strategies that are aligned with their specific organizational contexts and foster sustainable public participation through content that effectively addresses community-level needs.
Kasipat Thonmanee1, Pathompohn Mangma, Charotorn Sanmano, Thanakit Philaha, Thanachock khampong, Thanaphum Tharanisaratipong, Thanyaphat Phiphatphamonkul, Silarat Poonsri, Grichawat Lowatcharin Copyright (c) 2025 https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/psujssh/article/view/278629 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Development and Creation of Bamboo Earrings Combined with Woven Fabric Patterns for Studying Identity in Mae Poen Sub-district, Mae Poen District, Nakhon Sawan Province https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/psujssh/article/view/278636
This research aimed to examine bamboo materials and local woven fabric patterns of Mae Poen Sub-district, Mae Poen District, Nakhon Sawan Province, to develop and create earring jewelry integrating bamboo with woven fabric patterns, and to evaluate the suitability of the developed jewelry. The study was conducted as research and development, employing a mixed-methods approach that combined qualitative and quantitative research. Purposive sampling was used to select participants, consisting of local entrepreneurs, community leaders, and local scholars (3 persons); jewelry design experts (3 persons); and local residents and tourists in Nakhon Sawan Province (100 persons). The research instruments included interview forms, design evaluation forms, and satisfaction questionnaires. The findings from the study of local materials and patterns indicated that the bamboo and woven fabric patterns of Mae Poen Sub-district possess distinctive characteristics in terms of form, structure, and cultural meaning, making them suitable as a foundation for jewelry design. Based on these findings, three earring design styles were developed: natural, geometric, and a style representing the Chinese New Year identity of Nakhon Sawan Province, totaling twelve pieces. Three pieces were selected as final prototypes. The evaluation results from experts and users revealed a high level of satisfaction in terms of functionality, aesthetic quality, and the representation of local identity. These results demonstrate that integrating local materials and indigenous knowledge into a creative design process can lead to the development of valuable contemporary jewelry and can be further extended to community product development within the context of the creative economy.
Samolpan Thanasuk Copyright (c) 2025 https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/psujssh/article/view/278636 Tue, 30 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Psychosocial Factors Related to Organic Farming Behavior to Promote Agritourism Among Farmers in Chachoengsao Province https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/psujssh/article/view/278101
This research was a correlational comparative study based on the foundational framework of the interactionist model.
