Due to a lack of understanding of English grammar structures and Thai spelling, many errors were found in the senior project theses. This paper studied errors in senior project theses written by Thai computer engineering undergraduate students to obtain valuable information about the errors frequently appeared in their writings. The theses were entirely written in Thai, except for the English abstracts. Different types of errors, both in Thai and English, as well as their corresponding frequencies, were investigated. To investigate the errors, the types of errors were typed as words or texts representing the error types. AntConc was then used to find the word frequencies that corresponded to the error types. The ten most frequent errors found in the English abstracts were: 1) articles, 2) capital letters, 3) sentence structures, 4) singular and plural, 5) commas, 6) verb forms, 7) full stop, 8) prepositions, 9) adjectives, and 10) misspelling. As for the parts that were not English abstracts, the results revealed that English-Thai transliterated words such as ไลบรารี (lai-braa-ree, “library”), อัปโหลด (àp-lòht, “upload”), ฟังก์ชัน (fang-chan, “function”), and ดิจิทัล (dì-jì-tan, “digital”) were often misspelled by the students. It was evident that Thai words were written incorrectly due to the following respects: 1) Thai final consonants (31.66%), 2) Thai tone markers (23.23%), 3) Thai initial consonants (19.57%), 4) Thai vowels (18.34%), and 5) Thai unpronounced consonants (7.20%). The present findings could have pedagogical implications for understanding the types of errors made by the engineering students. These results could be used to create a guidebook or manual to help the students master and achieve publishable quality in their senior project theses.
2025-12-08T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 RMUTSB ACADEMIC JOURNAL (HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES) https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/rmutsb-hs/article/view/282329 The result of learning innovation via a digital wisdom repository system to promote learning skills and enhance the quality of educational management in Chachoengsao Province 2025-07-23T16:21:41+07:00 Thipwimol Wangkaewhiran thipwimol.wan@sru.ac.th Pongsathorn Palee pongsathorn.pal@rru.ac.th
This research aimed to: 1) examine the effects of utilizing a digital knowledge repository learning innovation to enhance learning skills and improve the quality of education management in Chachoengsao Province; 2) investigate the learning achievement of students from learning innovations using the digital knowledge repository system; and 3) study the satisfaction of using the digital knowledge repository system. Second, the strategy for developing tourism in the Baan Ronghuad community must follow an integrated business development approach, comprising four strategic groups: proactive strategies (SO1–SO2), improvement and weakness-correction strategies (WO1–WO3), rigorous implementation strategies (ST1–ST2), and careful implementation strategies (WT1–WT2). Third, tourist satisfaction with the community’s tourism components was found to be at the highest level (mean = 4.54, SD = 0.03). This research contributes knowledge for developing creative strategies and enhancing community-based tourism that is consistence with the next normal way of life.
2025-12-08T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 RMUTSB ACADEMIC JOURNAL (HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES) https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/rmutsb-hs/article/view/282405 Factors affecting gold investors' intention to purchase physical gold from gold shops in Bangkok metropolitan area and vicinity 2025-07-29T19:12:54+07:00 Tossapon Buaraikhing tossapon.bua@rmutr.ac.th Thanomsak Suwannoi suwannoi@yahoo.com Jutamas Wongkantarakorn jutamas.won@outlook.rmutr.ac.th
This quantitative research aims to compare factors influencing gold purchasing intention at physical stores among investors, categorized by age and average monthly income, and to identify factors affecting investors' gold purchasing intention at retail outlets. The study integrates the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as theoretical foundations, combined with the Stimulus-Organism-Response Model (SOR) as the conceptual framework. Data were collected through stratified sampling based on age and average monthly income via online questionnaires from 473 gold investors in Bangkok and its vicinity. The sample size conforms to the criteria for Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis, requiring a minimum ratio of 10:1 between sample size and observed variables. The findings reveal that differences in age and average monthly income significantly affect: (1) brand loyalty toward gold shops, (2) attitudes, (3) subjective norms, and (4) perceived behavioral control, which subsequently influence gold purchasing intention at physical stores. Additionally, the study found that brand loyalty, attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control have both direct and indirect relationships with gold purchasing intention at physical stores, with brand loyalty being the most influential factor. The practical implications suggest that gold retailers should focus on marketing strategies to enhance customer brand loyalty, while regulatory agencies should develop transparent and reliable service quality monitoring and evaluation systems to strengthen investor confidence in gold purchasing decisions.
2025-12-08T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 RMUTSB ACADEMIC JOURNAL (HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES) https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/rmutsb-hs/article/view/282345 Forging digital public spheres for deliberative participatory budgeting: leveraging technology for equity and co-creation 2025-07-30T11:40:16+07:00 Chatcharin Thongmomram pongchatcharin@gmail.com Chanit Suntapun suntapun@yahoo.com Banjerd Singkaneti pongchatcharin@gmail.com
Public budgeting has evolved from traditional control mechanisms to a critical instrument for strategic planning and promoting citizen participation. However, governments worldwide are facing mounting long-term fiscal pressures, compounded by the limitations of traditional participatory budgeting approaches that often lack meaningful deliberation and may become merely ceremonial. This research aims to address the question of how digital technologies can create and foster "digital public spheres" that facilitate in-depth deliberation in participatory budgeting processes, leading to equitable and fair resource allocation. This study employs a qualitative research approach using documentary research and narrative review methods to explore and synthesize knowledge regarding the potential of digital technologies in creating digital public spheres for deliberative participatory budgeting. The findings reveal that the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and blockchain technologies with deliberative democracy principles can significantly enhance the efficiency and transparency of budget management. Specifically, AI and Natural Language Processing help make complex budget information more accessible, support predictive analytics, and detect anomalies or corruption. Meanwhile, blockchain technology creates real-time transparency through immutable data recording and smart contracts. Appropriate digital platform design must consider equal access, creating secure environments, and the roles of moderators and facilitators in promoting quality deliberation. Despite technical, institutional, and cultural challenges, creating digital public spheres for deliberative participatory budgeting represents a significant step forward in public governance reform. This approach creates new opportunities to promote citizen participation that is equitable, meaningful, and leads to more just resource allocation in society.
2025-12-08T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 RMUTSB ACADEMIC JOURNAL (HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES) https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/rmutsb-hs/article/view/283048 An examination of youth perspectives on drug legislation and cannabis legalization policies amidst state policy transitions: A case study of Phitsanulok Province 2025-09-09T16:31:57+07:00 Wasan Pounpunwong wasan.po@psru.ac.th
This study examines the level of understanding among youth in Phitsanulok Province regarding the Narcotics Code B.E. 2564 (2021) and Thailand’s cannabis liberalization policy following the state’s policy transition, as well as their attitudes toward and experiences with cannabis use in daily life. Employing a quantitative research design, the study surveyed 440 upper secondary school students across nine districts of Phitsanulok Province, selected through simple random and accidental sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings reveal that youth demonstrated moderate to high levels of awareness about the narcotics laws, particularly concerning the use of cannabis for medical purposes and the prioritization of targeting dealers rather than users, though gaps remain in technical legal understanding. Their attitudes reflected awareness of cannabis-related harms, such as progression to other drugs and risk-inducing behaviors. At the same time, their experiences of encountering cannabis in daily life were notably high, especially through online media, schools, and communities. Importantly, while the proportion of youth who had personally used cannabis was relatively low (5%), the high level of exposure to cannabis use increases the risk of imitation and distorted perceptions in the future. Policy recommendations include: (1) strengthening effective communication systems to ensure that cannabis-related laws and policies reach youth clearly and accurately, and (2) enforcing strict spatial measures to control youth access to cannabis. For practical application, the research findings may contribute to the development of school-based learning curricula and the establishment of collaborative networks among parents, schools, and communities to address the issue.
2025-12-08T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 RMUTSB ACADEMIC JOURNAL (HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES) https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/rmutsb-hs/article/view/285139 Editorial statement 2025-11-18T10:24:17+07:00 Sirilak Prasertkulsak sirilak.b@rmutsb.ac.th

2025-12-08T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 RMUTSB ACADEMIC JOURNAL (HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES) https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/rmutsb-hs/article/view/270981 Changes impacting the management of vocational education in Thailand 2024-03-14T09:44:10+07:00 Hattapon Amparot hattapon@thonburi.ac.th Chutamas Peeraphatchara chutamas.p@rmutp.ac.th Nomjit Suteebut hattapon-a@rmutp.ac.th
This academic article aims to study and present the situation of Thai vocational education in the amidst of rapid and continuous global changes, following the phenomenon of the world turning around (BANI World).
