https://so05.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/stouj/article/view/275944
<p> This academic article aims to explore emerging concepts in counseling that align with the evolving needs and contexts shaped by rapid global changes between 2020 and 2024. Counseling practices during this period have undergone significant transformation, particularly due to<br />technological advancement, shifting societal dynamics, and diverse client needs. The widespread adoption of technology-based counseling has become not only popular but essential in delivering accessible and effective support.<br /> Furthermore, the integration of holistic counseling approaches and multicultural awareness has become increasingly important. Counselors are now expected to consider a wider scope of issues and tailor their interventions according to the specific problems and requirements of each client. The scope of counseling services has thus expanded to include culturally sensitive and client-centered methodologies. The roles and responsibilities of counselors have evolved to include<br />active listening, empathetic understanding, guidance provision, knowledge dissemination, confidentiality maintenance, and effective assessment and planning of the counseling process. These responsibilities reflect contemporary counseling theories that emphasize adaptability,</p> <p> Conclusion: The effectiveness of counseling largely depends on the counselor’s personality, perspectives, conceptual frameworks, and attitudes-all of which significantly influence the success of both guidance and counseling services. Psychological analyses suggest that the fundamental behaviors and traits of the counselor play a critical role in the efficiency and outcome of counseling practices. Ultimately, the integration of modern theories with personal competencies enhances the relevance, depth, and effectiveness of counseling in today’s dynamic environment.cultural responsiveness, and person-centered approaches to suit the complexity of modern-day<br />circumstances.</p>Umaporn SucaromanaYothaka Pakdeemekhanon

The highest need was identified in the content used in learning activities (PNImodified = 0.788), followed by the learner’s role, emotional engagement, and attitudes (PNImodified = 0.696, 0.606, and 0.405, respectively). These findings were used to develop six instructional units based on the STEAM approach. (2) Expert evaluations showed that the instructional process was rated at the highest level of appropriateness in all aspects. The highest rating was given to instructional media and learning resources (M = 4.73, SD = 0.31), followed by alignment of instructional elements (M = 4.73, SD = 0.31), learning process design (M = 4.63, SD = 0.32), and assessment and evaluation (M = 4.20, SD = 0.00). (3) A comparison of the pre- and post-instruction scores of 60 students revealed that their post-instruction scores were significantly higher than their pre-instruction scores at the .05 level of significance (t = 18.7; p < .001).
