การออกแบบการวิจัยภาคปฏิบัติ: การศึกษาจากบทความวิจัย ในวารสารวิชาการในประเทศไทย

Abstract

        บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ที่จะนำเสนอผลการศึกษาการนำเสนอการออกแบบการวิจัยจากบทความวิจัยในวารสารวิชาการในประเทศไทย การศึกษาดำเนินการโดยการนำเอาบทความวิจัยที่ตีพิมพ์ในระยะเวลา 5 ปีที่ผ่านมาคือระหว่างปี 2555 - 2559ในวารสารวิชาการในประเทศไทยสองฉบับเป็นเป็นภาษาไทยหนึ่งฉบับจำนวน 80 บทความ และภาษาอังกฤษหนึ่งฉบับจำนวน 72 บทความ รวมเป็น 152 บทความโดยตั้งคำถามเพื่อใช้นำทางการศึกษาในครั้งนี้ 2 ข้อประกอบด้วย (1) ได้มีการนำเสนอส่วนที่ว่าด้วยการออกแบบการวิจัยไว้ในบทความหรือไม่? (2) ส่วนที่ว่าด้วยการออกแบบการวิจัยที่ได้นำเสนอไว้มีส่วนสำคัญของการออกแบบการวิจัยครบถ้วนตามแนวคิดการออกแบบการวิจัยหรือไม่? ผลการศึกษาตามคำถามข้อที่ 1 พบว่าจากบทความวิจัยที่นำมาศึกษาจำนวน 152 บทความมีการนำเสนอการออกแบบการวิจัยเพียง 21 บทความ และในจำนวน 21 บทความที่นำเสนอการออกแบบการวิจัยนี้เป็นบทความที่ตีพิมพ์ในวารสารภาษาอังกฤษทั้งสิ้น ส่วนบทความในวารสารภาษาไทยจำนวน 80 บทความไม่ได้นำเสนอการออกแบบการวิจัยแต่อย่างใด สำหรับผลการศึกษาตามคำถามข้อที่ 2 พบว่า จากบทความวิจัยที่ศึกษาทั้งหมด 152 บทความไม่มีบทความใดเลยที่นำเสนอส่วนประกอบที่สำคัญของการออกแบบการวิจัยอย่างครบถ้วนการศึกษาครั้งนี้สะท้อนให้เห็นว่าการจัดการเรียนการสอนการวิจัยในสถาบันการศึกษายังไม่ได้ทำอย่างครบถ้วน และการปฏิบัติในการทำวิจัยก็ยังไม่ได้ทำอย่างครบถ้วนตามหลักวิชาจึงสมควรจัดการเรียนการสอนให้ครบทุกส่วนและทุกประเภทของการวิจัย ในขณะเดียวกันควรจัดการฝึกอบรมให้แก่ผู้ที่ทำการวิจัยในปัจจุบันให้ตระหนักถึงความสำคัญของการออกแบบการวิจัยให้ครบถ้วนทุกส่วนและทุกประเภทของการวิจัย

Research Design in Practices: A Study of Research Design in Research Articles Published in Academic Journals in Thailand

     The objective of this paper is to present the results of a study of research design from research articles published in two academic journals in Thailand during the period of 2012 - 2016. One journal is published in Thai and one in English. The total number of articles studied are 152 comprises 80 articles published in Thai and 72 articles published in English. Two questions were posed to guide the study: (1) Is there a research design section presented in the article? (2) Do the research design section presented contain all the necessary components of research design? The results of the study according to question one are that out of the 152 articles studied there are only 21 articles that presented the research design and all of them were published in English language journal. None of the 80 articles in Thai language journal presented the research design. The results of the study according to question two are that none of the 152 articles studied presented all the necessary components of research design. The results of this study imply that the teaching of research course in higher educational institutes were not done in a complete cycle manner. At the same time the practices of conducting research are not done in a complete cycle manner as well. Teaching of research should be adjusted to cover all the components and all types of research and training should be provided to the researchers to have full awareness of the necessity to conduct research in a complete cycle manner in all types of research.
