PROCESS OF LEARNER DEVELOPMENT INTO A CAREER: A CASE STUDY OF PATTAYA CITY HALL

Abstract

The objective of this research were to study vocational education and to find process for learners development into careers of student in schools under the Pattaya City. This research was a research and development (R&D) study by using the principle of learning management plan (lesson study: LS) and also using the quality cycle (PDCA) to assessed on process of learner development into careers. Which were assessment by the Administrators of Pattaya Education Bureau, Administrators of Pattaya Technical College, teachers, lecturers, community and entrepreneurs. The result found that:

1. The vocational learning management consisted of core content and local-related content, as computer subjects, clothing, cooking and cropping local plants by using active learning process.
2. The process of developing consisted of continuous plans that integrated the education management unit by signing a memorandum of cooperation for vocational learning management and curriculum integration by organizing a career learning management project (plan). The learner management by using short-term vocational training and using the active learning model to develop students through practical experience (do). The vocational learning development (check & reflect) was found that the evaluation of learners in basic skills and professional skills. (Competency-based) overall was at a high level. The process of vocational learning development was accepted by committee of Pattaya City Hall at 90.00% and be introduced into the Pattaya Development Plan (2562-2565) (act).
