THE FACTORS THAT AFFECT THE ACCEPTANCE OF CRYPTOCURRENCY PAYMENT FOR HOSPITALITY BUSINESSES IN THAILAND (A CASE STUDY OF AIRLINE HOTEL AND HOSPITAL)

This study aimed to examine the factors influencing the acceptance of cryptocurrency payment methods within Thailand’s service industry, focusing on the airline, hotel, and hospital sectors. A comprehensive review of relevant literature and previous research was conducted to identify variables affecting the adoption of cryptocurrency payments. From this review, seven key factors were identified: 1) acceptance of cryptocurrency payments, 2) perceived benefits, 3) perceived risks, 4) regulatory and legal frameworks, 5) access to new customer segments, 6) types of accepted cryptocurrencies, and 7) selection of payment processing service providers. These factors served as a foundation for organizations seeking to adapt and integrate cryptocurrency payment technologies. The study suggested that effective adoption of these technologies could enhance customer targeting, strengthen competitive advantage, and position businesses as leaders in both technological and financial innovation. Such adaptation was found to align with global financial trends while minimizing disruption to business operations and the national economy.
