Abstract

This quantitative research aimed to examine the effects of teachers’ artificial intelligence literacy on school effectiveness and student competencies. The sample consisted of 400 teachers from secondary schools in Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, Yasothon, and Amnat Charoen Provinces, selected using stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis with the enter method.
The results revealed that: 1) teachers’ overall artificial intelligence literacy had a statistically significant effect on school effectiveness, explaining 74% of the variance (R²=.74). The most influential dimension was artificial intelligence ethics, followed by the meaning of artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence skills, and knowledge of artificial intelligence, respectively; and 2) teachers’ overall artificial intelligence literacy had a statistically significant effect on student competencies, explaining 70% of the variance (R²=.70). Artificial intelligence ethics was also the most influential dimension. The findings indicate that artificial intelligence ethics is the most important component in driving both school effectiveness and student competencies. Therefore, schools and relevant organizations should prioritize the development of teachers’ artificial intelligence literacy, particularly by fostering ethical awareness and using intelligent systems to monitor students’ progress in order to enhance schools toward becoming “smart organizations.”
