JOB SATISFACTION, ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT, QUALITY OF WORK LIFE AND HAPPINESS AFFECTING STAFFS’ WORK PERFORMANCE OF HEALTHY ORGANIZATIONS IN EASTERN REGION OF THAILAND

The objectives of this research were to investigate staffs’ job satisfaction and organizational commitment of healthy organizations in Eastern region of Thailand, influences and the causal relationship model of job satisfaction, organizational commitment, quality of work life and happiness affecting staffs’ work performance. A sample group consisted of 4,094 staffs in 17 healthy organizations by the multistage-sampling method. Results showed that staffs’ organizational commitment as a whole was rated at a high level, worthiness in organization was rated at highest level. The staffs’ organizational commitment as a whole was rated at high level and job characteristic was rated at highest level. Structural equation model revealed that: 1) Component of quality of work life had positively direct affect to job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and 2) Component of job satisfaction had positively direct affect to staffs’ work performance and organizational commitment and organizational commitment had a negative indirectly affect to staffs’ work performance.
