Implementation of Motorcycle Helmet Wearing Policy for Road Safety Driving in Pathum Thani Province

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the level of implementation of motorcycle helmet wearing policy for road safety driving in Pathum Thani province, and to study factors affecting implementation of motorcycle helmet wearing policy for road safety driving in Pathum Thani province. This research utilized a quantitative research method and employed questionnaires as a tool to collect data from a sample group of 385 motorcycle riders in Pathum Thani Province. Statistical techniques were descriptive statistics such as percentage, mean ,and inferential statistics such as Pearson's correlation and multiple regression analysis. The study found that The level of implementation of motorcycle helmet wearing policy for road safety driving in Pathum Thani province was at the highest level. The hypothesis testing found that the policy factor (X1), the safety awareness factor (X3), and the driver readiness factor (X4) had positive effect and could predict implementation of motorcycle helmet wearing policy for road safety driving in Pathum Thani province at 0.05 level of statistical significance
