Group Formation and Management of the Sacca Saving Group, Case Study: Siphaya Sub District, Tha Mai District, Chanthaburi Province.

Abstract

The purposes of the study were 1) to study the formation of the Sacca Saving Group in Siphaya Sup-District ,the mai District, Chanthaburi Procince and 2) to study the management of the group.The findings showed that The sacca saving group was founded during The thai economic downturn in 1996-1997. It was affected by Tom Yum Kung Crisis and caused the villagers to have financial difficulties.The leaders realized that debt was 2 major problem for the villagars and they wanted to solve the problem. There fore, the sacca saving Group was founded in order to help the villagers save their money and solve the villagers’ financial problems. Theresults of the study on the management of sacca saving group were that it solved problems of poverty, self-discipline with rules saving money,loans,benefits, Medical expenses scholarship for children,and cremation-It was managed by a structured disvision of labor and a cleas set of ruled The group.
