The Novel Corona Virus (SARS-CoV-2) and Reality, the Way of Power and Biopolitics

This research article explores the reality (or the existence) of the novel Corona Virus (SARS-CoV-2) including the rise of COVID-19. It finds that there are two significant forms of its reality; the scientific fact and the constituted identity reflected from a set of collective value-based experience. Through the method of phenomenological reduction, we can explain the existence of this virus in both forms in terms of its causes, symptoms and effects made on an individual and the whole society. The effects which this phenomenological virus has made to the way of power in pandemic crisis are so immense that many political beliefs shift their shapes into biopolitical ones where scientific facts seek power and actions from the institutes of medicine and public health, and where people are willing to lose their personal meaning in exchange of collective health security.
