Current Knowledge and Future Directions of Social Policy: Developing Social Protection Systems for Well-Being Promotion and Social Conflict Reduction

This article is a knowledge synthesis from current trends and future directions of social policy. The purpose of the article is developing the system to cope with social conflicts in a situation of generational differences. This article applies approaches and methods which are exploring social policy direction at the global level, developing the model of social protection in order to create social solidarity and reduce social conflict, and reviewing the conceptual framework of social protection. The study reflects the importance of mechanisms and instruments of “social dialogue” and “social and solidarity economy” since it leads to a social partnership and well-being promotion. These are the goal of social policy and simultaneously contribute to reducing social problems.
