Abstract

The Thai government has attempted to restore the economy by implementing public policies to prevent the spread of the outbreak of coronavirus, such as locking down the city and shutting down the country, causing the necessity to suspend international travel. This has caused an impact on the tourism industry, such as the airline business, hotel business, travel business, and workers in tourism and hospitality.
The caveat is that governments must find effective channels to significantly comfort and revitalize the economy and tourism industry. In other words, water tourism is one of the most severely affected by this pandemic triggered severe social and economic disruption. The water tourism industry is, therefore, important and needs to be recovered and driven by the country's economy, especially the adjustment of the water tourism master plan based on a SWOT analysis which will be used to create a water tourism strategy mechanism, and to help driving government projects effectively under an ongoing global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019.
