Development of Ban Nong Waeng Municipality School Instructional Model for Developing Students’ Learning Achievement

Abstract
This research aimed to clarify the development of Ban Nong Waen Municipality School instructional model for developing students’ learning achievement. There were sub-objectives including 1) basic information for developing instructional model, 2) designing and developing instructional model, 3) the result of trailing the instructional model, and 4) evaluation of satisfaction and suggestion for further developing instructional model. Subjects consists of 73 people including 12 school teachers, 12 school committee, and 49 students. Research instruments included interview forms, questionnaires, evaluation of satisfaction forms, and focus group interviews. Data was analyzed by percentage, mean, and standard deviation, t-test, and content analysis. Findings were clarified into four issues. First, basic information for developing instructional model revealed that Ban Nong Waen Municipality School is a small school and located in poor areas. Parents are low educated and divorced. They could not find a good job. Then, children are not focused on developing intellectual and minds. Second, the appropriate and possible instructional model was developed called R2L model. Thirdly, the result of trailing instructional model revealed that mean of students’ achievement about respect, ready to learn, and life skills for overall was 4.32. It is categorized into good level. Comparison between before and after intervention showed that there were statistically significant (.05) differences on the mean of students’ achievement. Fourthly, the mean of teachers and students’ satisfaction on the instructional model is 4.63 that represents the very high level of satisfaction.
