Abstract

Is a source or a complement to many other problems in Thai society?
Whether it is economic and social problems, including political problems that have
been simmering and erupting over the last ten years. In particular, the current political
problem caused by inequality is a chronic problem and, if not solved seriously, it is
expected that Thai society will continue to have this problem in the future. From the
current policy making, it can be seen that organizing the economy through a policy
that cannot actually reduce the inequality. In the current situation, with the spread of
COVID-19, the State Bye has to cope with the relatively slow formulation of public
care policies. It may also fall into the trap of populist policies that have the potential
to reduce inequality or increase inequality in policy. And when combined with some
structural changes that increase the risk of inequality, such as entering the aging
society of low-income and poor, it is a challenge that Thailand will be able to have a
policy to reduce inequality promptly and not fall into the trap of inequality.
