The Relationship between Thai Government and chines Government

Abstract

    The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between the Thai government and Chinese government in the term of countries management of both countries in social, cultural, political, security, and economic dimensions in the period of 2010-2021. The study methods in this research mainly focus on descriptive analysis in documentary research and in additional information as well.  The information will mainly be collected from officials of the Thai embassy in Beijing, the Chinese Embassy in Thailand, Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Thailand, The information from Internet sources related to relationships and cooperation between the Thai and Chinese governments.

     The major findings of the research are as followed:

     The diplomatic relations between the two nations in the past 47 years (1975-2022) experienced a honeymoon period between the two countries. Exchanged at all levels regularly and expanding cooperation in depth in all dimensions in diplomatic relations between Thailand and China. are widely deployed. However, during the Cold War It was a pioneering era of ties between the two nations before the establishment of diplomatic ties due to the tensions of the Cold War. This eventually resulted in conflicts and affected relations between the two countries.

     After the Cold War, the relationship between Thailand and China has entered a new era. by building a relationship of Ongoing Bilateral and Multilateral Relations (2013) China has become Thailand's biggest trading partner and the second largest export market (after the United States). and is the No. 1 import source of Thailand, Meanwhile Thailand is China's No. 13 trading partner. which has a very advanced relationship in every aspect and Thailand is aware of China's increasing role in the global stage of the ASEAN region. Both countries have been greatly respected by each other over the years. During the 21st century, as China became an economic powerhouse. Therefore, the relationship between the two countries is entering a new era, especially in trade. which has been upgraded to a new era of economic cooperation becomes the heart of Thai-China relations. China-Thailand economic cooperation is intensified by the entry into force of the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement in January 2010.

   The scope of the study covers the relationship between Thailand and China, during the past until 2010-2021. in various dimensions to develop cooperation and find solutions to problems in the future.
