Abstract
The Sub-District Quality Schools in a small in the promotion project the school as a learning community (SLC), such as limited resources, constrained infrastructure, limited funding, limited community involvement, and limited access to training and professional development. These challenges can make it difficult for the school to become a community of learning. However, with appropriate support and resources, these obstacles can be overcome to provide quality education to students. One approach or concept that can promote schools as communities of learning is the establishment of a participatory education system. This involves developing a curriculum that is comprehensive and creates a community of learning.
It emphasizes student-centered learning and promotes collaborative work among teachers. It also encourages the participation of parents and the community in school activities. By following these steps, the school can transform into a community of learning, where students actively engage in education, teachers collaborate to improve teaching methods, and parents and the community participate in school activities. This results in high-quality education and a culture of lifelong learning that aligns with the direction of producing and developing the workforce. The focus should be on implementing teaching and learning strategies to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills for 21st-century life, livelihood, and the economic and social development of the country.
