Developing of The Competency Training Curriculum of The Heads of Department in The Secondary School under The Secondary Education Service Area 20

Abstract
The purposes of this study were : 1) to study needs assessment of competencies of the heads of department leader of group learning, 2) to develop the training curriculum of the heads department leader of group learning, and 3) to study the effectiveness of training curriculum. The samples consisted of the heads of department 216 person in 27 schools by stratified random sampling, and 24 persons in 3 schools by purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of questionnaire, test, and evaluation .The statistic for data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test dependent. The research finding were : 1) The heads of department were needs assessment to enhance desirable competencies leadership by training 2) The training curriculum consisted of 4 elements were training objective, training content, development methods, and training evaluation. 3) The effectiveness of training curriculum were : (3.1) The efficiency on training curriculum was 89.38/85.73 which was higher than the score at 75/75 (3.2) The heads of department had higher post–training leadership knowledge than pre-training at significance level .05, (3.3) The heads of department had higher post–training leadership competency than pre - training at significance level .05,and (3.4) The head of department had satisfied with the competency training curriculum as a total and each aspect were at a high level.
