บทคัดย่อ

            บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่ออธิบายบทบาทของคนดังระดับโลกในฐานะกลไกของซอฟต์พาวเวอร์ด้านการท่องเที่ยว โดยเสนอให้ปรับเปลี่ยนจากมุมมองเชิงผลลัพธ์ที่มุ่งประเมินประสิทธิผลของการใช้คนดัง ไปสู่มุมมองเชิงกระบวนการที่อธิบายว่าคนดังทำงานอย่างไรภายในโครงสร้างของอิทธิพลทางวัฒนธรรมระดับชาติ บทความบูรณาการแนวคิดซอฟต์พาวเวอร์ การรับรองโดยคนดัง การถ่ายโอนความหมายเชิงสัญลักษณ์ และความสัมพันธ์แบบพาราโซเชี่ยล เพื่อพัฒนากรอบแนวคิดเชิงมโนทัศน์ที่อธิบายเส้นทางของการถ่ายทอดและการซึมซับความหมายจากระดับมหภาคของประเทศไปสู่การรับรู้และความตั้งใจในการท่องเที่ยวของผู้ชมระหว่างประเทศ บทความเสนอว่าคนดังมิได้ทำหน้าที่เป็นเพียงผู้สื่อสารเชิงการตลาดหรือเครื่องมือประชาสัมพันธ์ หากแต่เป็นตัวกลางเชิงสังคมจิตวิทยาที่เอื้อให้เรื่องเล่าเชิงชาติและอัตลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมถูกแปลความหมายและทำให้มีความหมายเชิงอารมณ์ต่อผู้ชม โดยกระบวนการดังกล่าวเกิดขึ้นผ่านการถ่ายโอนความหมายเชิงสัญลักษณ์จากตัวคนดังไปสู่แหล่งท่องเที่ยวและภาพลักษณ์ประเทศ และถูกเสริมแรงด้วยความผูกพันแบบกึ่งสังคมและเครือข่ายแฟนคลับข้ามชาติ โดยใช้กรณีของลลิสา มโนบาล (ลิซ่า) ในบทบาททูต “Amazing Thailand” เป็นการนามธรรมเชิงวิเคราะห์ เพื่อแสดงให้เห็นว่าคนดังสามารถทำหน้าที่เป็นสะพานเชิงสัญลักษณ์ที่เชื่อมโยงอัตลักษณ์ความเป็นไทยเข้ากับบริบทของวัฒนธรรมป๊อประดับโลกได้อย่างไร บทความนี้มีส่วนช่วยขยายองค์ความรู้ด้านซอฟต์พาวเวอร์และการท่องเที่ยว โดยเสนอการอธิบายเชิงกลไกที่สามารถนำไปต่อยอดสู่การวิจัย และการกำหนดนโยบายซอฟต์พาวเวอร์ด้านวัฒนธรรมผ่านคนดังของประเทศไทยในระยะยาว
