Abstract

This research aimed to examine how enhancing entrepreneurial capacity affects the development of a green community prototype within the Biz Club business network in Samut Prakan Province. A mixed-methods research design was employed, in which quantitative research was conducted first, followed by qualitative research. Questionnaires were administered to customers who purchased products from network members using non-probability accidental sampling, with a sample size of 385 respondents. Questionnaires and in-depth interviews were conducted with all entrepreneurs in the network through purposive sampling, totaling 113 participants. In addition, brainstorming sessions were held with entrepreneur committee members and representatives from government agencies selected through purposive sampling, comprising 12 participants. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis, with t-tests and F-tests. The results indicated that respondents expressed the highest level of agreement on the following issues: customers’ demand for safe products; entrepreneurs’ use of customer needs to enhance the efficiency of business management; the development of business plans and online marketing plans aligned with the digital era; the application of digital applications, with public and private sector organizations serving as policy-driven mechanisms to translate policy into practice; the generation of appropriate income that is cost-effective; and the use of online marketing channels to expand the customer base and increase sales. In terms of economic investment, businesses were found to distribute profits among members, and the adoption of technology and innovation was identified as a key factor in enhancing competitiveness. Enhancing competitiveness toward international standards significantly affected the development of the Biz Club business network as a green community prototype at the 0.01 level of statistical significance. The results suggest that products should comply with international standards in accordance with the principles of the circular economy and the green economy, leading to economically worthwhile investment and the sustainable use of resources.
