Abstract

This study focused on the knowledge management capabilities as a second-order construct of bank branches in the Bangkok area and on the factors affecting knowledge management capabilities. Information technology support, social network, internal communication and teamworking and their relationship with knowledge management capabilities were the main factors of the study. The author also explored the differences between state-owned and private bank branches in many aspects. The findings indicated that all of these factors have a positive relationship with the knowledge management capabilities of bank branches. Directions for further research are also discussed.
