Abstract

This article presents application of conceptual understanding of mediation as well as community reinforcement, and participation for social conflict resolution by community volunteer mediators (CVM). Major problems in mediation procedures which reinforce the community are differences in volunteers' characteristics and lack of clear meditation standard. Propositions for improvement emphasize volunteer potentiality development by experience exchange, service manual, and mediation training especially in facilitating dispute parties participation in discussion, public relations, and legal matters.
