Strategic Leadership of School Administrators Affecting the Private School Administration to the Excellence in Nakhon Pathom Province

Abstract


This research aimed to: 1) study the level of the private school administrators’ the strategic leadership; 2) study the level of the private school administration to the excellence; and 3) analyze the strategic leadership of school administrators affecting the private school administration to the excellence in Nakhon Pathom Province. Data were 316 teachers of the private schools in Nakhon Pathom Province. The research sample derived by proportional stratified random sampling as distributed by district. The research analyzed with percentage, mean, standard deviation and stepwise multiple regression. The findings of this research were as follows: 1) Overall and in specific aspects, school administrators’ strategic leadership was at a high level. These aspects were revolutionary thinking, creating a vision, anticipating and creating a future, human and emotional component, high-level cognitive activity, and gathering multiple inputs, respectively. 2) Overall and in specific aspects, the private school administration to the excellence was at a high level. These aspects were leadership, school effectiveness, administrative innovation and administrator capacity, respectively. 3)The school administrators’ strategic leadership in the aspects of creating a vision (X6), anticipating and creating a future (X4), revolutionary thinking (X5), human and emotional component (X2), and high-level cognitive activity (X1), together predicted the private school administration to the excellence (Ytot) at the percentage of 92.70 with statistical significance at .05.
