Abstract

The purposes of the research were  1) to develop the 5W1H transcribing verse skill exercises, and 2) to develop students' transcribing verse skills using the 5W1H method. This research is experimental research. The sample included 45 matthayomsuksa two students, who studied in the second semester of academic years 2021 at Wat Phrasrimahadhat Secondary Demonstration School, Phranakhon Rajabhat University by cluster random sampling.

The statistics used in the data analysis were percentage, mean and standard deviation for the efficiency (E1/E2). Dependent sample                 t-test was used to compare the transcribing verse skills.

The results revealed that:

  • The efficiency of the 5W1H exercises was higher than the specified criterion. E1/E2 at 37/81.55.

  • The post-test of student’s transcribing verse skills was significantly higher than the pre-test at the .05 level (p = 0.00).
