The enforcement of imprisonment by the Department of Corrections at present is the only enforcement agency. This has resulted in the use of infinite and unfair powers to the inmates including the violation of the rights and liberties of prisoners by government officials during their sentence Therefore, there must be a court to inspect and have the powers and duties to enforce the sentence together with the Department of Corrections for transparency and fairness to inmates including protecting the rights and liberties of inmates if their rights and liberties are violated during their sentence in order to achieve efficiency and balance between enforcing The court therefore came to protect the liberty of prisoners under the constitutional law and to protect the rights of inmates who can exercise their rights to the fullest.
A study on how to increase the role of courts in enforcing prison sentences has proposed a solution to the legal problem by amending the Corrections Act B.E. 2560, which is the law on corrections There is a provision for the powers and duties of the Department of Corrections to enforce the punishment of only one agency by increasing the powers and duties of the court to join the Department of Corrections in enforcing punishment, including being a committee to inspect the Department of Corrections in the Corrections Act B.E. 2560 (2017) for transparency and fairness to the inmates during the execution.
