ผลกระทบทางด้านเศรษฐกิจและสังคมจากการจัดทำความตกลงการค้าเสรี ของไทยกับคู่ค้าหลักด้านการส่งออกในสินค้าศักยภาพ

บทคัดย่อ
การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อประเมินผลกระทบจากความตกลงการค้าเสรีระหว่างไทยกับคู่ค้าหลักด้านการส่งออก ประกอบด้วย จีน สหรัฐอเมริกา ญี่ปุ่น มาเลเซีย และฮ่องกง ต่อตัวแปรเศรษฐกิจมหภาค การผลิตรายสาขา สวัสดิการสังคม ความยากจน และความเหลื่อมล้ำทางรายได้ ระเบียบวิธีวิจัย คือ การวิเคราะห์เชิงพรรณนา การวิเคราะห์ดัชนีความได้เปรียบโดยเปรียบเทียบ และแบบจำลองดุลยภาพทั่วไป
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ไทยจะมีการเจริญเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจโดยวัดจากการเพิ่มขึ้นของผลิตภัณฑ์มวลรวมภายในประเทศระหว่างร้อยละ 0.23-0.95 หากไทยจัดทำความตกลงการค้าเสรีกับประเทศคู่ค้าหลักด้านการส่งออกโดยเน้นการเปิดเสรีในสินค้าที่ไทยมีศักยภาพ ซึ่งให้ผลลัพธ์ทางบวกที่มากกว่าการเปิดเสรีในทุกสินค้า นอกจากนั้น พบว่าการจัดทำความตกลงการค้าเสรีช่วยลดความยากจนโดยทั่วไปได้ ซึ่งเป็นผลมาจากการเพิ่มขึ้นของรายได้ครัวเรือน แต่อาจทำให้การกระจายรายได้แย่ลงเนื่องจากผลตอบแทนของเจ้าของทุนซึ่งมักเป็นผู้ที่มีรายได้สูงในสังคม มีสูงกว่าผลตอบแทนของแรงงานซึ่งมักเป็นผู้ที่มีรายได้น้อยกว่า ดังนั้น รัฐบาลและผู้เจรจาการค้าเสรีจึงควรพิจารณาอย่างรอบคอบถึงผลกระทบต่อสวัสดิการสังคมจากการจัดทำความตกลงการค้าเสรีในอนาคต
