พฤติกรรมผู้สูงอายุ กับ การสูงวัยในบ้าน หรือ การสูงวัยย้ายถิ่น

บทคัดย่อ
ประเทศไทยก้าวเข้าสู่สังคมผู้สูงอายุ (Aging Society) โดยมีประชากรอายุ 60 ปีขึ้นไปเท่ากับหรือมากกว่าร้อยละ 10 ขึ้นไปตั้งแต่ปี 2553 (ศูนย์วิจัยกสิกรไทย, 2561) และคาดการณ์ว่าปี 2573 ประชากรผู้สูงอายุจะเพิ่มมากกว่าร้อยละ 20 และเข้าสู่ “สังคมผู้สูงอายุโดยสมบูรณ์” สังคมไทยเริ่มตื่นตัวและพัฒนาที่พักหรือชุมชนเพื่อรองรับผู้สูงอายุโดยเฉพาะ โดยการจัดการสภาพแวดล้อมและสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกและบริการทางการแพทย์ให้เหมาะสม อย่างไรก็ดีโมเดลอสังหาริมทรัพย์เพื่อกลุ่มผู้สูงอายุดังกล่าวถูกปรับเปลี่ยนภาพลักษณ์จากการเป็นเพียงสถานสงเคราะห์บ้านพักคนชรากลายเป็นการลงทุนเพื่อซื้อคุณภาพชีวิตในวัยเกษียณอายุ (ศูนย์บริการวิชาการแห่งจุฬาลงกรณ์, 2560) การศึกษานี้ศึกษาพฤติกรรมผู้สูงอายุที่มีผลต่อการเลือกสูงวัยในบ้านหรือสูงวัยย้ายถิ่นโดยใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงกรณีศึกษาและเก็บข้อมูลโดยการสัมภาษณ์เบื้องลึกแบบมีโครงสร้างในกลุ่มผู้สูงอายุที่ตัดสินใจเลือกแต่ละรูปแบบ ผลการศึกษาพบว่าปัจจัยด้านกายภาพ จิตใจ และสังคมมีผลต่อการตัดสินใจเลือกรูปแบบการอยู่อาศัยของผู้สูงอายุ โดยผู้ที่ตัดสินใจย้ายถิ่นมีความพึงพอใจในชุมชนเฉพาะที่อยู่ และการตัดสินใจย้ายถิ่นมักเกิดจากผู้สูงอายุที่ไม่มีทายาททางตรง
