ความสัมพันธ์ของดนตรีกับสังคม: แนวคิดในการศึกษา อิทธิพลของโครงสร้างทางสังคม และการเปลี่ยนแปลงสังคม

บทคัดย่อ
บทความฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อต้องการอธิบายว่า “ดนตรีมีความสัมพันธ์กับสังคมอย่างไร” ผลจากการศึกษานำมาซึ่งข้อสรุปใน 3 ประเด็น คือ (1) ความสัมพันธ์ของดนตรีกับสังคม เป็นสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นจากความต้องการในการสื่อสารและการสร้างความสัมพันธ์ของผู้คนในสังคม การเชื่อมโยงกันในทางสังคมเกิดขึ้นได้ในหลายลักษณะ ซึ่งดนตรีได้เข้าไปเกี่ยวข้องกับการสร้างความสัมพันธ์ทางสังคมเหล่านั้น (2) อิทธิพลของโครงสร้างทางสังคม การที่ดนตรีถูกนำเข้าไปเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของสังคม ดนตรีจึงสามารถสะท้อนโครงสร้างของสังคมได้ อิทธิพลของโครงสร้างทางสังคมได้ทำเกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงขึ้น
ในดนตรีด้วย (3) พลังในการเปลี่ยนแปลงสังคม การที่ดนตรีได้สะท้อนโครงสร้างของสังคม ดนตรีจึงมีพลังทางสังคมเสมือนกับเป็นโครงสร้างของสังคมนั้น พลังทางสังคมที่เกิดขึ้นกับดนตรี ถูกใช้เพื่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงสังคมที่กำลังเผชิญกับปัญหาต่าง ๆ เพื่อเป็นการสร้างความเข้าใจในความสัมพันธ์ของดนตรีกับสังคมมากยิ่งขึ้น ผู้เขียนได้ทำการยกตัวอย่างปรากกฎการณ์ของดนตรีที่เกิดขึ้นในภูมิภาคต่าง ๆ ในการประกอบการอธิบาย โดยได้ทำการสอดแทรกปรากฏการณ์เหล่านั้นไว้ในเนื้อหาส่วนต่าง ๆ ของบทความฉบับนี้
