A PARTICIPATION DEVELOPMENT OF THE LOCAL WISDOM BOOK OF TAMBON BOKRU, AMPHOE DOAM BANG NANG BUAT, SUPHAN BURI PROVINCE

Abstract
The objectives of this work were: 1) to collect the local wisdom through the participatory processes of the community of Tambon Bokru, Amphoe Doem Bang Nang Buat, Suphan Buri Province, and 2) to develop the local wisdom book of Tambon Bokru, Amphoe Doem Bang Nang Buat, Suphan Buri Province. The local wisdom was selected by Thais of Lao Khrang living in Tambon Bokru of the said province. Three kinds of local wisdom were found: 1) the ritual of raising the flag of Songkran festival, 2) the 5 colored loincloth, and 3) sarong. The two groups of informants: The organizers of the ritual of raising the flag of Songkran festival, the people involved the 5 colored loincloth and sarong were the first group. The second group was the stakeholders who were in Bokru municipality and the weavers of Tambon Bokru. The interview and triangulation were the research instruments. And then developed into a media book entitled “Thai Khrang’s local wisdom of Tambon Bokru, Amphoe Doem Bang Nang Buat, Suphan Buri Province”. The research results were as follows: 1. The three collections of local wisdom in the area, that is, (1) the ritual of raising the flag of Songkran festival, (2) the 5 colored loincloth and (3) sarong, had a unique identity, which differed from the wisdom of Thai Khrang people in other areas. 2. The local wisdom media book consists of five chapters: Chapter I introduction; Chapter II mentioned the ritual of raising the flag of the Songkran festival; Chapter III was Lao Krang’s Textile: Bokru; Chapter IV The weaving of the 5 colored loincloth; and Chapter V Sarong’s weaving.
