THE UPGRADING TO SMART FARMER BY LEARNING FROM MASTER SMART FARMER OF PINEAPPLE PLANTATION FARMER IN RATCHABURI PROVINCE

Abstract
This research aimed to; identify the Master Smart Famer in pineapple farming in Ratchaburi province; studied the life of Master Smart Farmer, and find out the way in developing the farmers. The area of study was the extensive agricultural land plot in Nongpanchan, Bankha district, Ratchaburi province. Data collected by using interview technique and focus group. The findings of this study were as follows: (1) there were two Master Smart Farmers in pineapple farming: Mister Chan Ruang-raera and Mister Chalermchai Sritom. (2) the good practices of Mister Chan Ruang-raera were the cost reduction, and productivity-increasing techniques; the good practice of Mister Chalermchai Sritom was the group marketing. (3)
the knowledge of Master Smart Farmers was publicized and shared in the learning center. (4) Master Smart Farmers help the other farmers by sharing the knowledge and being the model in farming. (5) the participatory development for farmers comprised of self-analysis, doing the individual plan, and sharing.
