SUSTAINABLE TOURISM MANAGEMENT OF PHU TOEI NATIONAL PARK, DAN CHANG DISTRICT, SUPHAN BURI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research is Mixed Method Research based on the Quantitative Research and Qualitative Research. Sample population and stakeholders are 386 people. Research Instruments are content analysis, observation, interview, focus group, and questionnaire. The research aimed to study on 1) context of tourism management in the present time of Phu Toei Nation Park, 2) problems and obstacles of tourism of Phu Toei Nation Park, and 3) guidelines of tourism management of Toei Nation Park for sustainable development. The result of this study found that 1) context and tourism management in the present time of Phu Toei Nation Park showed that the most interesting tourist attraction was Tewada is the highest peak in Suphan Buri province, 1,123 meters with beautiful nature. 2) Problems and obstacles of tourism of Phu Toei Nation Park found that; (1) context problems, the facilities in the area were not enough with tourists’ need and lack of some facilities Including restrooms, restrooms, restaurants, and electricity. (2) The problem in service management in Phu Toei National Park found that the staff were not enough. 3) Guidelines of tourism management of Phu Toei Nation Park for sustainable development consisted as; (1) Phu Toei Nation Park needed e-co tourism activities. (2) Support on role of area advisory committee to have an integration to develop tourism. (3) The guideline of internal management development of Nation Park, they need to build cooperation with community and staff development.
