การศึกษาปัญหา ความต้องการ ความเชื่อมั่นในตนเอง และเจตคติที่มีต่อวิชาภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีชั้นปีที่ 1 มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏพระนคร

Abstract

การวิจัยเรื่องนี้ มีจุดมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาปัญหา ความต้องการ ความเชื่อมั่นในตนเอง และเจตคติที่มีต่อ วิชาภาษาอังกฤษของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี ชั้นปีที่ 1 ภาคปกติ จำนวน 250 คน ที่ลงทะเบียนเรียนวิชา ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารหรือวิชาภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อการสื่อสารผ่านสื่อในภาคเรียนที่ 1/2553 ผลการวิจัย สรุปได้ว่า

1. ปัญหาของนักศึกษาด้านการฟัง การพูด การอ่านและการเขียนภาษาอังกฤษทั้ง 4 ด้าน อยู่ใน ระดับมาก โดยด้านการฟังมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด

2. ความต้องการด้านความสามารถของผู้เรียน ด้านการสอนของผู้สอน ด้านสื่ออุปกรณ์การเรียน การสอนวิชาภาษาอังกฤษอยู่ในระดับมาก ความต้องการด้านความสามารถของผู้เรียนมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุด

3. ความเชื่อมั่นในตนเองและเจตคติของนักศึกษาต่อวิชาภาษาอังกฤษอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง

4. ปัญหา ความต้องการ ความเชื่อมั่นในตนเองและเจตคติของนักศึกษาที่มีเพศต่างกันต่อวิชาภาษา อังกฤษไม่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

5. ปัญหา ความต้องการ ความเชื่อมั่นในตนเองและเจตคติของนักศึกษาในคณะที่ต่างกันต่อวิชา ภาษาอังกฤษไม่แตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

A Study of Problems, Needs, Self-Confidence, and Attitudes of Learning English of First Year Students of Phranakhon Rajabhat University

The purposes of this research were to investigate problems, needs, self-confidence, and attitudes of learning English of first year full time students. The participants in this study were 250 students who had enrolled in either English for Communication or Communicative English Through Media at Phranakhon Rajabhat University in the first semester of the academic year 2010. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The result shows as follows:

1. The students’ problems about listening, speaking, reading, and writing were at a high level. The highest was listening.

2. The needs for student’s language improvement, teachers’ instruction, and instructional materials were at a high level. The highest average was the needs for students’ language improvement.

3. Self-confidence and attitudes of students towards learning English were at a middle level.

4. Problems, needs, self-confidence, and attitudes towards learning English of students with different genders were not different at the significant level of .05.

5. Problems, needs, self-confidence, and attitudes towards learning English of students from different faculties were not different at the significant level of .05.
