Abstract
DEVELOPMENT OF MATHEMATICS UNIT PLANS TO ASEAN FOR LOWER ELEMENTARY STUDENTS
The purposes of this research were to: 1) develop mathematics unit plans to ASEAN for lower elementary students, and 2) evaluate the quality of the mathematics unit plans to ASEAN for lower elementary students. Samples used were university lecturers teaching in the field of mathematics, or teaching in program in education mathematics in the Faculty of Education, and They were derived by applying stratified random sampling. The samples were divided into two groups, employing simple random sampling. The first group was lecturers of teaching at general universities. 2) The second group was lecturers of Rajabhat universities. In total, 24 lecturers were selected in 2013 academic year from three universities, in accordance to each applicable group within the Bangkok area. In addition, mathematics teachers from lower elementary schools were also selected, by using stratified random sampling. These samples were also divided into three groups using a simple random sampling technique, The first group was teachers at government schools. The second group was teachers at schools under the jurisdiction of universities. The last group was teachers at private schools. 41 teachers, from each of three schools were also selected Research tools consisted of mathematics unit plans to ASEAN for lower elementary students, and an evaluation form based upon mathematics unit plans to ASEAN for lower elementary students. Percentag and IOC were employed to analyze the data. This research displayed that the IOC of all six mathematics unit plans for ASEAN lower elementary students was above 0.55 (>0.5), which agreed with the criterion. These six mathematics unit plans were of high quality, and they were effective
