THE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT OF VOCATIONAL LEARNERS TO SUPPORT THE WORK IN THE FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION

This research aims to study the skills development of vocational learners to support work in the 4^th Industrial Revolution era, by presenting a way to improve the skills of vocational learners. The study looked at current problem conditions and proposed development patterns for approaching the benefit of the vocational education’s drive. This was the mixed-method research, quantitative and qualitative research. The quanatitative information sections were obtained from a sample of instructors in technical colleges, vocational colleges under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission and educational institutions that provided a number of professional studies. 430 guests using descriptive and inferential statistics..Qualitative data were collected by documentary research, along with interviews the 13 experts in school administrators and 9 academicians in focus group discussions.

The results showed that the skills were important to the learner. In order to go out into the world of labor market work, it must be developed and modified due to the impact of the 4^th Industrial Revolution as a result of technological changes and innovations, or in term of Disruptive Technology was currently used. Regarding to the presentation a way to improve the skills of vocational learners, this could advise as follows: 1) Technology integration skills such as; digital literacy, Digital Marketing, Analysis of data to achieve knowledge or ideas, a combination of philosophy, culture, beliefs, mobile device management, and technological data that can be learned like the human brain, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and 2) Soft skills such as critical thinking, complex communication capabilities, creativity, collaboration, flexibility and adaptability.
