FACTORS AFFECTING THE HAPPINESS IN LIFE OF MILITARY PERSONNEL, DEPARTMENT OF CLERK TRAK OFFICE OF THE PERMANENT SECRETARY FOR DEFENSE

Abstract

The article's objectives were 1) to study the level of factors, 2) to study the level of happiness, 3) to study the equation of factors that affect happiness, 4) to study suggestions for things that enhance happiness, and 5) to study the pattern of factors that affect towards the happiness in the lives of military personnel, Department of the Clerk of Badges, Office of the Permanent Secretary for Defense. It was mixed methods research. The sample group consisted of 218 military personnel calculated from Taro Yamane's formula. A questionnaire was used to collect data. Statistics for data analysis include frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Pearson's correlation coefficient and analyzed linear multiple regression statistics using the stepwise method by interviewing 16 people through a semi-structured interview form. Data were analyzed by grouping content, summarizing issues, and describing differences.

          The results of the study were as follows: 1) the overall of factors was at a high level. 2) The overall of happiness was at a high level. 3) The relationship of factors overall was a high level, the value is .901, able to explain the variation of the dependent variable equal to 87.40 percent, has a value of R2 = .874, has a value of F = 5.332, is statistically significant at the .01 level, which shows that the independent variables have an effect to the happiness of military personnel. 4) Suggestions for factors that enhance happiness are that personnel with knowledge and abilities in line with the line of work should be appointed. Cooperation and coordination within the organization and each other should be promoted. 5) The factors affecting happiness includes: quality of life, success in work, organizational culture, colleague officemate, organizational relationship, work progress, environmental atmosphere, social welfare, military discipline, religion, and life balance.
