The objectives of this research were 1) to study legal measures for solid waste management and the impact of the problem of solid waste management, and 2) to investigate and find appropriate legal measures to provide relief for people affected in Warin Chamrap Municipality, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The documentary research was conducted through the collection and analysis of data.

          The results found that the solid waste management problems in Warin Chamrap Municipality are caused by the fact that most people still do not have waste separation, and there are no legal measures regarding the separation of solid waste from the beginning as well as during the transportation process. Because even though people separate their waste, there is no separation in the transportation process, causing the waste to mix again. Moreover, the destination management section in selecting the waste disposal area of Warin Chamrap Municipality does not appear appropriate. Determination of environmental damages, including the court's consideration in determining environmental damages. Criteria for listening to expert witnesses regarding the calculation of environmental damages in the future. The suggestion is to give people the right to participate in waste management by providing knowledge and awareness to the people for separating waste at source, promoting private investment in waste disposal, etc. There should be additions to the National Environmental Quality Promotion and Preservation Act, B.E. 2535, such as methods for estimating the value of damage to people exposed to pollution in terms of health and illness that may occur after the case has been completed, and the court can determine and reserve the right to amend the judgment to suit future damages as well.
