Abstract

This article focuses on two points: educational inequality and decentralization of local government and local education development. The first finding from the study is that Thailand's educational inequality is caused by several factors: education quality, family, budget, difference of area, and top-down educational policy. Secondly, the way to reduce educational inequality is to decentralize the local government to develop their own local education. The local education development focused on participation of community and reflects the problem and needs to policy makers.
