Reflection of Society that Appears in Translated Literature about Hachiko

Abstract

This research aims to analyze social reflection. From translated literature about Hachiko By using content analysis and presenting the research results in a descriptive analysis (Descriptive Analysis). The research results were found. In translated literature about Hachiko, there are 5 aspects of social reflection: 1. Reflection of society in terms of beliefs. It was found that there is belief in ghosts. color beliefs belief in numbers and beliefs about flowers 2.Reflection of society in terms of culture It was found that there are cultural reflections in art, dress, drinks, musical instruments, and folk songs. 3. Reflections on religious society, found Shinto religion and Japanese funeral ceremonies. 4. Reflections on social traditions Meet New Year's Day traditions and Kodomo Day 5. Reflection of society in terms of way of life, found in occupations, transportation, and food. It was found that there were 5 stories reflecting society in the most cultural aspect, while the least common aspects were 2 stories: a reflection of society in religion and a reflection of society in tradition, with 2 stories on each side.
