The Development of Lifelong Learning skills based on Language and Career Competencies case study Chakungraowittaya school

Abstract

            The objectives of this study were to 1) study the teaching English to promote the lifelong learning based on language and career competencies of grade 9 students 2) compare the achievement score of English for career before and after by teaching English to promote the lifelong learning based on language and career competencies and 3) study the students’ satisfaction toward studying by teaching English to promote the lifelong learning based on language and career competencies. The sample consisted of 29 grade 9 students who studied in the first semester of the academic year 2567 in Chakungraowittaya school selected by using purposive sampling technique. The instruments in the study included 1) the suitable checklist form of English lesson plan 2) the English lesson plan for developing lifelong learning skill based on language and career competencies consist of 4 learning units were checks by 3 experts. 3) The English proficiency test for careers and 4) The students’ satisfaction toward studying by English to promote lifelong learning skill based on language and career competencies. The step of process was pre-test and taught the sample by English lesson plan which to promote lifelong learning skill based on language and career competencies then post test. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation and t-test.

            The results found that 1. the suitable of English lesson plan was high level at  = 2.60. 2. the mean score of the students from test shown the higher after studying at a statistical significance level at 0.05. 3. The student’s satisfaction toward studying shown high level at ( = 4.42).
