Factors Supporting Achievement Operation of Information Technology for Education to Basic Educational Institutions: Case Study – Primary Educational Service Area Office Nonthaburi

Abstract
Purposes of study are: to study factors supporting achievement operation of information technology for education to basic educational institutions and to explore the achievement operation of information technology for education. Four factors from results of many researchers regarding communication, information technology resources, attitudes of administrators and practitioners, and knowledge and skills of personnel are analyzed. Three educational institutions are selected as case studies. Specific method is applied as selection criteria including small, medium and large schools. Data collection tools are questionnaire and interview. Date are analyzed by content analysis and inductive conclusion.
- Communication instruments for acknowledgement policy including official documents and
meetings. Administrators will inform teachers and personnel in the meeting.
- Every school has a sufficient number of information technology teachers. They, however, receive insufficient budget. There are not enough computer rooms. There is an internet network but low speed. Most of teaching media is Power Point.
- Administrators realize that computer teachers have skills and be able to respond the policy well. Computer teachers are able to apply their knowledge and skills in teaching very well. However, teachers who neither teach computer nor attain any academic degree regarding computer also have a positive attitude towards computers in teaching.
- Most teachers have a computer background and able to use computers. Their knowledge and skills are developed from time to time. They are trained at the central agency or the outside agencies. After finish training, they keep on training for other teachers in the school. Some schools have computer rooms and personnel which are ready to organize training themselves.
